Morning Walks with Kiyann
Good morning, afternoon or evening everyone. I have got another set for you that I shot on September 20th. This was after my birthday which was on the 19th, and since I just turned 22, I felt like I'd set up a shoot with Kiyann here for the morning. I found Kiyann on Instagram believe it or not, and I've been keeping up with her profile because she has worked with some great photographers and she has been uploading some dope content. Keeping tabs on her images, I just had to shoot with her to see what we can create together. Funny thing I learned from her, she happens to be 18 and I thought she was way older than that. Shoot maybe older than me at least by a couple of months. But it didn't matter though, we happened to work together and I think that we made this day a successful one no matter how much time we got to know each other. So with this shoot, it was kept fairly simple. There wasn't anything going over board, whether it be posing, or angle choices. We happened to walk a bit around Downtown LA, and we started like around 10AM. around this time, there happens to be shadows casted by the sun at a specific angle that made shadows stretch out which seemed interesting. I didn't manage to get that mostly as the sun moved and those shadows disappeared. But with the amount of sunlight, we used that to our advantage and got some nice color tones with some images below. We then went to the building that looks like four cylinders and shot there for a bit. I managed to go more monochromatic here because the setting just felt like that truthfully. Since she had paled skin, I saw use of it being white and added a bit of contrast to her skin making it feel more richer and dynamic. Then we ended our day at Disney Concert Hall. I did that setting mostly monochromatic because it just gives the image beautiful faded tones from Black to White and vice versa. There is one setting that I haven't uploaded yet because I'm still trying to figure out which ones to edit and upload so I'll leave that for another time. But for the time being I thank Kiyann for giving me her time to collaborate with me and I do look forward to working with her again in the near future. I've got more shoots coming my way so keep posted with me and I'll do the same here and on my Instagram profile. -BE
