Hiking In Style with Sophie
Summer is finally over. I have gone MIA for a while now due to lack of free time. But within whatever time I had spared; I have been planning projects to due for upcoming shoots that are still being thoroughly thought through. Hopefully these projects will commence soon but before any spoilers; let us focus on what I had uploaded right now. I promised that I would work with Sophie again; I just feel like she has everything worked out. She is a fashion person; so for her, whenever we work together, we get to share different aspects of creativity and kind of squeeze together our subject matters in to one. So on this day; I decided to take the shooting over to the Old LA Zoo at Griffith Park. I have never shot at this location before so I was very eager to see what I can capture. Besides her, my main focus when shooting is to capture the settings surroundings while keeping the subject in focus. What I mean by that is I find everything interesting. Shadows, Lines, Reflections, Shapes and Angles, etc. it gives the image more depth. It shows us how our mind sees things creatively. And that is just by visualizing your surroundings and viewing something differently, the way you'd like to interpret it. Besides this day being around 90 degrees; she decided to use some jackets. I thought that was insane because, well, IT WAS SCORCHING HOT!!! But she was a risk taker. We climbed cages, steep hills, and we quarter hiked it to get some landscape shots of Glendale. I also decided to bring some jerseys for her to wear for some shots because LA is a city of champions. Sports is always the best way to rep your set. Nothing but history and titles. Los Angeles Football Club will get there I'm sure of it. As always, I do a mixture of Monochromatic and Colored images. I always see the image having a different feel when it comes to color and tones. Hopefully later on I will go back out there and shoot what I've got planned out. So stay tuned in for more. -BE
