Kodak Portra 400 with Amber
Let's face it, working with Amber is always a treat for anyone. Fun, curious, caring, pretty, and active. Even on the coldest of days that we've gotten here in Los Angeles. To be honest; I actually expected windy but sunny day. I was 50% right. It was windy, but the clouds came in and as i shot a roll of Kodak Portra 400 film; I was a bit disappointed because I didn't get the lighting that I wanted. But that's not to say that the shoot was bad neither. Getting some landscape shots was key with this. I had to take advantage of the clouds. Finishing up my roll when the sun came out I managed to get some very warm saturated colors with human reflections in the background which added a nice touch and balance to the image. There wasn't much to edit because most of the images happened to be cut out sadly. Usually I like to have my images sharp, and wide with the model/subject up close or in frame. This time I some how couldn't control my position with my camera. I was too cold and my hands started to get numb on me. Unlike my weak ass, Amber was a trooper throughout the day. Athletic attire and no shots with her sweater on. She the real MVP for lasting through the day and it's conditions. There are some shots that are Portra images; but I decided that it could look better in B&W just the way I saw it. The one image that isn't part of the set was the night time one. That was shot on 3200 film during a foggy night with the street lights luminating the trees down my block. I thought I'd share it just because it looks dope. As always enjoy my page and stay tuned for more content!!!
